Chadderton Rental Terms

All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement presented at the time of booking confirmation or vehicle pickup. This document outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations for the rental period. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Eligibility Criteria

Vehicle Rental Requirements

• To hire a vehicle in Chadderton, you must be at least 21 years old. Please note that age restrictions may differ based on the vehicle type, with extra charges applicable for drivers under 25. A valid full driving licence for the relevant vehicle category is required, along with proof of current address and identification. Valid payment information and a security deposit are also necessary, as well as any additional requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement.

Booking and Payment Process

• Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Chadderton office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are usually payable upon vehicle pickup. All prices are presented in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.

4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

• At the time of collection, it is important to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be created and signed by both parties. Upon return, the vehicle should be in the same condition as when it was collected, taking into account standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and billed accordingly. Please ensure the vehicle is returned with the same level of fuel as at the start of the rental; refueling fees will apply if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may result in additional charges, so please inform us as soon as possible if you expect a delay. You will be held responsible for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or charges incurred during your rental, along with an administrative fee.

5. Coverage and Responsibility

• All rentals include basic third-party insurance, with comprehensive coverage details and excess amounts outlined in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to help limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these offerings thoroughly. You will be liable for damage or loss up to the insurance excess amount unless additional coverage is purchased. Any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance.

6. Modifications and Cancellations

Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For specific details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.

Prohibited Activities

Usage Restrictions for Rentals

• Vehicles may not be used for any illegal activities. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or other dangerous pursuits. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited, as is sub-letting to others or allowing unauthorized drivers. Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted. Additionally, vehicles should not be used beyond their intended purpose, passenger limits, or weight restrictions. Driving outside of the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.

8. Liability Restrictions

To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Chadderton will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the total amount paid for rentals in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liabilities arising from negligence leading to death or personal injury, or from fraudulent activities.

9. Local Regulations

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively through the courts of England and Wales.

10. Terms Updates

We can update these Terms at our discretion. Any changes take effect immediately once posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
